Daniel B. Tune, Esq. – Managing Partner
Daniel B. Tune, Esq. is the Managing Partner of Tune Law Group, LLC, whose practice is focused on Family Law (matrimonial, custody, and domestic violence matters), Business Law (Business Formation, Contracts and Corporate Documents, Litigation, and Drafting of Corporate Resolutions), Civil Litigation Law, and Professional Liability Law (Legal and Professional Malpractice). Tune Law Group, LLC, opened on January 1, 2023, and prior to that time, Daniel B. Tune, Esq., was the managing partner at Martin & Tune, LLC (same practice areas).
In 2015, Mr. Tune was Certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Matrimonial Trial Attorney. Additionally, in 2014, the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys named Mr. Tune “Top 10 Under 40” for Excellence in the Field of Family Law.
In 2019, Mr. Tune was added to the Advisory Board for Syracuse University’s College of Engineering and Computer Science (where he received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science).
Mr. Tune is a Past President of the Hunterdon County Bar Association’s Executive Committee, is the former Chair of the Hunterdon County Domestic Violence Committee, and sits on the Family Practice Committees for Hunterdon and Warren counties. Mr. Tune also has substantial experience volunteering for service as an Early Settlement Panelist for Hunterdon, Somerset, and Warren counties.
In 2012, Mr. Tune was instrumental in the establishment of the SAFE’S HAVEN program. This program, which is administered by SAFE in Hunterdon in cooperation with the Hunterdon County Domestic Violence Committee, is a network of volunteer attorneys who ensure that victims of domestic violence have access to pro bono legal representation. For his efforts, Mr. Tune received the 2012 Community of Light Social Justice Award. Mr. Tune continues to work with SAFE to administer the annual domestic violence training, both for attorneys and the volunteers at SAFE.
Mr. Tune is also a frequent Continuing Legal Education instructor, teaching classes on domestic violence, custody, the use of psychological experts, and other family law related topics. Further, in 2012 and 2013, Mr. Tune was an adjunct professor at Raritan Valley Community College, teaching “Family Law” and “Computer Technology in the Law Office” as part of their paralegal studies program.
Mr. Tune received his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law, as well as his Master’s of Science in Computer Science from Syracuse University. He also completed his undergraduate education at Syracuse University where he received his Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science.
After graduating from law school and taking both the New York and New Jersey bar exams, Mr. Tune began his legal career in a clerkship with The Honorable Roger N. Nanovic, II, Presiding Judge for the Court of Common Pleas of Carbon County. During that time, Mr. Tune worked with the judge in resolving civil, criminal, and family law matters. During his time at the Court of Common Pleas, Mr. Tune also provided assistance for The Honorable David W. Addy, as well as to several visiting judges (who oftentimes presided over family matters). Mr. Tune is also admitted to practice law in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
